Specialists In Our Field
PALS are a Leading UK Exotics Laboratory.
Staffed by a full complement of qualified biomedical scientists, our dedicated laboratory can deliver fast, accurate and individual results designed to rapidly diagnose health problems and reduce mortality rates.
We work with a wide range of animal samples from veterinary practices, farms, wildlife parks and zoos, along with privately owned animals.
Our experienced team also includes experts capable of analysing samples from all exotic species.
We have recently launched our ‘Express E. cuniculi testing’, for rabbits with rapid results within 24 hours. Early diagnosis will enable clinical decision making so much more accurate. Our Express ‘Chlamydia psittaci PCR’ testing for birds, will give you same day results! This early diagnosis enables a reduction in clinical signs and transmission.
Unfortunately we are unable to offer work experience placements at our laboratory.
State-Of-The-Art Sample Testing
We use the latest technology available to provide a wide range of tests covering everything from haematology and biochemistry, to parasitology and virology.
PALS has invested in cutting-edge equipment such as precision analysers that allow us to run tests from samples as small as 0.4ml, ideal when screening smaller animals.
Complete Client Services
At PALS, we pride ourselves on developing and maintaining strong relationships with our clients. Clinical interpretation can be requested on all blood profiles at no extra cost, where full history is given.
Based in rural Clotton near Tarporley in Cheshire, we also offer a free daily collection service to veterinary practices in our local area. We always supply practices, zoos, and parks with sample collection equipment from blood tubes, faecal pots and swabs, to histology pots.
Serving Animal Owners
Along with testing samples supplied by veterinary practices, at PALS we can also screen faecal samples of privately owned animals.
Whether you own a cat, dog, bird or even a reptile, we can offer you specific health and faecal tests suited to their species. Please see our pet owners’ section for more information.
